ReplyDeleteIt's become tradition with me and my dad to go to the Midway Men's club and have a beer (or in my case a pop) and a brat since we started going when we first came up here ten years ago from Illinois when I was nine... and every year we end up lost and unable to find it for a good half hour forty/five minutes because I end up dragging him to the other side of the fair for salt water taffy or some ice cream.
ReplyDeleteOf course he always tells me "Erica we can't leave without going into one smelly building and the bathrooms don't count." So it's also be come tradition to go into one smelly building before we leave the fair.
We are looking forward to trying all of the new and bizarre foods that they have there, per state fair tradition! Wine glazed deep fried meatloaf? You betcha!
ReplyDeleteWe've loved hearing about all of your favorite things about the Fair - thanks for all the great ideas that NOW we have to try too!
