Local Business Spotlight - Cahill Diner

One of the great benefits of living at Salem Green Apartments is that we are near many great businesses, even while our community setting has a wonderful country-living feel. Every so often we like to feature a great local business, and today we would like to introduce you to the Cahill Diner.

If you are looking for a delicious home cooked meal, without having to cook, look no further than the Cahill Diner located on Cahill Avenue in Inver Grove Heights. They were voted one of the top places to eat in the metro and they are located within miles of Salem Green.

Cahill Diner is a locally owned 1950’s-themed restaurant that opened in April 2009. They serve breakfast all day long and they are known for their melt-in-your-mouth meatloaf and pot roast. They are always offering weekly specials along with delicious fish and chips (Minnesota walleye) for only $8.99, every Friday.

Emin, the manager, said her favorite thing about the diner is the customers. She said she gets a chance to see a lot of the same faces in the diner on a daily basis and it’s great when customers walk in and already know many other people in the diner. To Emin it feels like home away from home.

1950's Favorites

In the spirit of the 1950's, which the Cahill Diner celebrates, we want to know your favorite movie, actor, or singer from that era. Here's the Salem Green Staff's favorites:
